David Hoffer

David Hoffer was once a columnist for a popular publication covering the Information Technology industry. Nowadays, he writes science fiction.

His debut novel, Melody, won the San Diego Book Award for Magical Fiction (2021) and was a finalist in the Self-Published Sci-Fi Competition (2022).

Prophet, the second book in the duology, is currently a semi-finalist for the Kindle Book Review Award.

When he’s not at the keyboard, Dave can be found surfing off the coast of Del Mar, California. He is currently at work on a novella, tentatively titled Ascension, which explores the origin story of Stephen Fisher and the Prophet.
